Are you, or is someone you know, coming out of hospital or suffering an illness at home and live in Spelthorne?
If the answer to one of these questions is 'yes' and you have nobody at home or nearby who could help,
you could qualify for this free service. The service provides practical help at home after a stay in hospital or while you
regain your strength and confidence after an illness at home. The service can be available for up to 6 weeks for an
average of 2 - 3 hours per week (subject to the amount of work required).
Help provided could include:
- Bed Making
- Light Snacks
- Washing Up
- Prescription/Pension Collection
- Shopping
- Paying Bills
- Writing letters
- Light Domestic Duties
- Accompanying To Appointments

The Support Plan
Our Support Worker will discuss with you the help you need following your operation or illness. Our aim is to support you while you regain your confidence and independence. If appropriate, we will assist you to obtain longer-term help from other services such as Hometime (a paid domestic-help service), Befriending and Benefits Advice.
