The aim of this service is to support you with regular or one-off visits at times when you
need friendly support. For example: loss of a friend/partner or a recent illness.
What our Support Worker can offer:
- Help with form filling.
- Links with other Age Concern services, such as Road to Recovery, Handyperson schemes or other organisations such as Hometime or Carers Support
- Help to access any relevant benefits.
- We support you through decision making processes, such as moving house.
- We want to help you make the most of later life and believe in your right to stay independent for as long as possible.
How we work:
- We will not charge you for our services.
- We will not disclose information that you give us, without your permission.
- We will visit you in the privacy of your own home.
- We will not make judgements about your life and what you want to do.
- We will tackle any discrimination or prejudice that you may face.
- We will not be influenced by any other interest, but your own.
